NEW CONSTRUCTION AND ADAPTIVE RE-USE OF EXISTING STRUCTURES

Many of our projects consist of the renovation/ adaptive re-use of existing spaces. These can be for commercial office uses to residential apartment units. We also do new construction projects from building developments to private homes. This gives us a tremendous flexibility and expertise in the most challenging of design problems. Although much of our work is here in New York City, we have clientele from the surrounding towns & villages from Long Island to Connecticut and Upstate New York. We are licensed in New York State and Connecticut, but as a member of N.C.A.R.B. (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards), we can easily apply for licensing elsewhere if needed.

At Architecture Work P.C. our commercial architectural projects include such diverse facilities as a new gas station and associated retail stores on Staten Island, a new building for medical facility use in Nassau County and a new private home in Suffolk County.

Similar to a new building, adaptive re-use buildings  are typically stripped back to the basic structure, modify this structure, completely remove all mechanical equipment, exterior and interior walls and floors and start again with a new use within the “old shell”. In conjunction with the buildings basic core we also provide interior design services from space planning to furniture procurement.
